Chain saws are designed to cut clean wood only. If the chain comes into contact with other materials (especially soil), damage will occur almost immediately - resulting in further sharpening charges or destruction of the chain completely. Serious damage to the saw may result.
Chainsaws must only be used by experienced operators who have received the appropriate training.
Hirers please note, failure to wear full safety kit and steel toe-capped boots could (when using any chain saw) lead to severe injury or death.
The protective clothing supplied is the minimum required. In order to comply fully with safety standards the user must wear steel toe-capped safety footwear (not supplied). Safety kit consists of: one safety helmet complete with ear defenders and mesh visor, one pair of safety gloves, one pair of safety leggings and one pair of safety spats.
